The City of Fredericton is excited to be working on this Capstone project with these engineering students from UNB. This project has relevant real-world potential to help the City manage its electricity demand and cost. It will allow us to participate more with the utility on demand side management and peak saving programs.
Built for QPS compliance, tested before it ships.
Our team is currently working with multiple companies to make sure our solution meets QPS guidelines for the installation. The number one priority is safety and code compliance.
We are currently in the testing phase for our system, working in lab space provided by the University of New Brunswick.
16 kW shaved, modeled before a single battery ships.
This example shows analysis with our own peak-shaving simulation software, used to configure the appropriate battery capacity and system power output to match the building's requirements. The graph shows 16 kW shaved in the morning as the building is heated for the day after cooling overnight. The top half models battery behavior, while the bottom half tracks battery level and cycle accumulation.
